The Hussy is doing a quick Midwest/East Coast tour to support the new split 12-inch EP with Digital Leather. Released by Southpaw Records, this is the Hussy’s 12th vinyl appearance in a five year span that has seen the band release three LPs, a 10-inch and a slew of seven-inches via two handfuls of labels all over the U.S. and Europe.
The band has always deftly walked the line between garage simplicity and out-there psych punk; this time around they bring in synth-punk genius Shawn Foree of Digital Leather to add his hand on synths for half of their offering. Darker and fuller, this is the bassiest and ballsiest the band has ever been. The split 12-inch features seven new Hussy jams on one side and six new Digital Leather songs on the other.
