NYC-based electro-pop artist and songwriter Stalking Gia has released her vibrant lyric video for the widely embraced single “Born Free,” which premiered last week exclusively at Idolator. The singles game has been good to Gia – having seen success with her debut “War Paint” towards the end of 2014, and receiving a sizeable amount of blog-buzz with “Born Free” and its most recent remix by DJ SoySauce. NYLON referred to “Born Free” as “one super-cool anthem for self-expression,” while Earmilk raves “she has a sweet, measured voice that portions out each note carefully and deliberately.”
“‘Born Free’ is an extremely personal and honest song for me, as well as for the world around me. Discrimination towards others is a constant battle we all unfortunately have to face every single day. I wanted to write an anthem that promotes peace rather than violence towards others,” Gia explains.
