While The Gaslight Anthem was on tour with Rise Against, Thrice and Alkaline Trio in the fall of 2008, they stopped into Park Ave CDs in Orlando, FL for an in-store session. This later became The Gaslight Anthem: Live At Park Ave, a live EP released exclusively for Record Store Day in 2009. Today, both SideOneDummy Records, the home of The Gaslight Anthem, and Park Ave CDs in Orlando, FL have cause to celebrate with this reissue as the label rings in its twenty-year anniversary and the store celebrates its thirtieth year in business.       In addition to today’s release of Live At Park Ave, there will be eight more records released throughout the year in SideOneDummy’s 20 Year Anniversary Reissue Series. SideOneDummy Records started in 1995 when roommates Bill Armstrong and Joe Sib each wanted to start their own record labels. Joe was starting SideOne Records while Bill was about to launch Dummy Recordings. Two heads are always better than one so instead of going their own way, they decided to pool their money together, combined the names and rented a small office on Melrose Avenue, thus SideOneDummy Records was born. Today the office is located in Hollywood and continues to release records from some of alternative music’s best up-and-coming bands including PUP, Restorations, Jeff Rosenstock, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Superheaven, Timeshares and more.
