Savannah Stopover Music Festival 2016 announces initial lineup

MusicFile Productions, LLC has announced the initial lineup of bands confirmed to play the 6th annual Savannah Stopover Music Festival, which will take place in Savannah’s Historic District March 10-12, 2016. Early-bird tickets for the festival go on sale today at 11am, and include three-day advance passes at $65 along with VIP Passes at $125. Tickets are available through Ticketfly.
40+ bands from across the country and around the world have been selected in the first wave of bands, and a second wave of bands will be announced in late January 2016, which will include several local Savannah bands. A total of 80+ bands are expected to play the 2016 festival. The festival continues to focus on up and coming acts across a wide variety of genres, most of whom have not yet played the market/region and the majority of which are headed to Austin, TX for the SXSW Music Festival and Conference.
Returning acts from past Stopovers include Hiss Golden Messenger, Big UPS, Christopher Paul Stelling, Blank Range, French Horn Rebellion and New Madrid. Athens, GA based Futurebirds, who has played Revival Fest will make their first appearance at the festival, garnering one of the coveted headliner slots.
The festival also confirmed a partial list of participating venues including Ships Of The Sea North Garden, Trinity United Methodist Church, Club One, The Jinx and Congress Street Social Club. The full list of participating venues will be released in January, along with the performance schedule for all bands.
