Rhymesayers Entertainment emcee PROF has premiered his new video for “Ape Shit” featuring Waka Flocka Flame today on Noisey. “Ape Shit” can be found on Prof’s latest album – his first with Rhymesayers – Liability, which debuted at #8 on iTunes’ Hip Hop Albums chart.
“This song is about reaching that level where you just lose your mind and let that inner animal take over. It feels good sometimes. You should try that shit…Don’t lie to me. I know you like to break shit,” says Prof.
Prof was also recently named one of Rolling Stone’s “Artists You Need to Know.” Rolling Stone describes ‘Liability’ as, “Prof’s most engaging set to date,” and labels the Minnesota emcee as, “A perverted Macklemore from a parallel universe with a fixation on debauchery and an ear for a pop hook.”
Liability was released on October 16 and also features recently released tracks “Bar Breaker” and “Ghost” featuring Tech N9ne. Prof will also be hitting the road this fall on his headline “Liability Tour.” The 20-date U.S. jaunt, with support act Nacho Picasso, begins on October 29 in Duluth, MN and comes to an end on November 25 in Chicago, IL.
