Brooklyn indie pop quintet Modern Rivals premiere the first song from their forthcoming album today via PopMatters. The track, “The Dead Leaves” is culled from the band’s lush and charming 10-song full length Cemetery Dares and is available to listen/share HERE. 
Modern Rivals seem somewhat fittingly named for their transcendent psychedelic pop that both evokes antique ’60s mod optimism, while also sounding defiantly current with their experimental edge.
Cemetery Dares will be available on LP, CD and download on April 22.
