Cop Problem release video, record, tour (2013)

Philly hardcore/punk unit Cop Problem debuted a scathing new music video for “Monuments,” taken from their 2012-released self-titled 7” EP released via War Torn/Prejudice Me Records. The live band footage for the video was shot by Photographer Dante Torrieri of Blow The Scene and Useless Rebel Imaging, taken during a benefit show for environmental activists and political prisoners Marie Mason and Eric McDavid in June of 2013. This benefit show included fellow Philly bands Dying, XanaX, Less Life, and Grower. Additional footage was used courtesy of anarchist media outlet, SubMedia.

They also contributed their anthem “Blinded By Power” to A Benefit Compilation In Love And Solidarity With Kostas Sakka by European Record labels Pumpkin Records and Riot Ska Records. Kostas Sakka is a 29-year-old anarchist arrested in Athens in December 2010 and held in prison without a trial, who began a hunger strike on June 4th demanding an end to his detention. This compilation, featuring fifty bands from around the world, is available now via name-your-rice donations via Bandcamp to go towards Sakka’s bail efforts and release RIGHT HERE.
With several East Coast dates planned throughout the Summer, including benefit shows for The Humane League, Earth First and more, the band will be embarking on a full Midwest tour in November. Before hitting the road, Cop Problem will return to renowned engineer Will Yip (Paint It Black, Lauryn Hill, Title Fight) and Studio 4 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania to record their latest tunes for a forthcoming EP and more. Additionally, the band will go into the studio once again in the Winter months to record their debut LP.
