CHAPPO release music video for "Hang On," tour (2015)

Votiv Music and New York City-based indie-rock band CHAPPO have released the music video for the band’s new single “Hang On.”
Directed and conceived by GHOST+COW (John Carlucci & Brandon LaGanke) and premiering via NPR MusicFirst Watch,” the clip follows a crashed space traveler from another time (played by frontman Alex Chappo) who spends his last hours wandering New York City among its millions of inhabitants. Stranded and mystified, he feels the magnitude of loneliness and awe as he searches for a place to expire.
“Hang On” is taken from the band’s brand new full-length album, Future Former Self (on iTunes), which is a cosmic body of work where the members of CHAPPO explore the abstract nature of time and the experience it has on the perception of reality.
In CHAPPO’s world, the concept of time is twisted hopelessly out of focus. Like Rene, the character at the center of this interstellar journey that is Future Former Self, the band seems to have recently traveled back from a distant black hole, bringing with them a kaleidoscope of new and mesmerizing sounds.
