Camera Shy share "Spin Me", ready debut for Run For Cover Records

Camera Shy, the new indie pop project from Nick Bassett (of Whirr, Nothing, Death Of Lovers formerly of Deafheaven) and Alexandra Morte (former vocalist for Whirr)  stream their first single “Spin Me” from their forthcoming debut Jack-O-Lantern due out June 25 with Run For Cover Records. The debut is a decidedly quiet collection of tracks drawing influences from bands like The Softies, The Cardigans and The Sundays.
Following the departure of Alexandra from Whirr, Nick started Camera Shy with her in hopes of continuing to create a Pipe Dreams-esque project albeit a bit more accessible. Although a newly formed duo, Camera Shy already have an evolving body of material ready to go. While the debut is very much a stripped down effort, the follow up LP builds on that and incorporates a full band approach not unlike The Smiths, Belle and Sebastian, and bands you might have found on the roster of England’s Sarah records in the late 1980s and early 90s.
