Bright Young People share video for "Solitude," ready EP

Bright Young People deliver a five-track EP on Gary Powell from The Libertines label 25 Hour Convenience Store, which will chew you up and spit you out. Bright Young People are a three-piece hailing from Rhyl in North Wales who despite only forming a couple of years ago, have already perked many an ear within the Rock n Roll royalty fraternity.
Last year none other than Echo & The Bunnymen’s Ian McCulloch got hooked into the band and not only produced their debut single but also played on it! Not a bad first foray into releasing your debut material.
Since then they have been busy writing in the studio and taking a few breaks from that to rip venues apart across the UK. It was in fact one particular high octane show at London’s Shacklewell Arms which drew in The Libertines Gary Powell and resulted in him signing the band on the spot!
The band now release their five-track Sunshine Town EP on the 9th March 2015. The EP is brimming with youthfulness and vigor, fearless in its stance yet made by three young lads who have a considered and intelligent record collection consisting of The Stooges, Nirvana, Mudhoney and the Velvet Underground.
Bright Young People are full of swagger, sleazy riffs and ear splitting intensity.  Lead track ‘Solitude’ is testimony to that. It’s a sonic sledgehammer of a tune which takes no prisoners. There is seriously no messing around here folks, it’s straight to the point, foot to fall anthemic guitar greatness.
