Brick + Mortar, John Tacon and Brandon Asraf, have truly been building a movement. Spreading a message of empathy, positivity and self-motivation, the two have been playing gritty, bright yet sinister, witty alternative pop for inspired audiences throughout the country, and they will continue to do so as they embark on their summer long national tour happening now!
Brick + Mortar are also thrilled to debut their highly anticipated Dropped EP today. Check out it on Culture Collide.
As if that wasn’t enough, the duo has a brand new video to accompany their track “Staying Gold” which premiered today on Noisey. The video is a beautiful depiction of a teen who, in the midst of exceptionally hard conditions, manages to stay as strong as ever when surrounded by friends. Moving through shots in soft focus and light we see a sick kid quite literally transform into who he once was before hospitals, doctors, and beeping machines. Director Rosco with BLURRED Pictures says “to us, Staying Gold is a rebellious anthem from an angsty kid making a statement that he’s good, no matter what. We follow him in this film, who despite his incredibly difficult circumstances is strong as ever when he’s with his friends. He stays gold.”
