On their recent European tour with Texas rock legends ZZ Top, the Ben Miller Band floored audiences with their high-octane “Ozark stomp” and riotous live show, resulting in a slew of new converts crowding the merch table and the band selling upwards of 300 albums per night. Bearded icons Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill were so impressed with the Joplin, MO-based trio that they have invited them to be main support on the second leg of their fall North American tour. Following its ongoing headline run, BMB will join back up the sharp dressed men in late September for a tour that will take them all across the East Coast, Mid West, South and parts of Canada. Ben Miller Band’s sophomore album, Any Way, Shape Or Form was just released this past Tuesday, August 5 on New West Records. Produced by Vance Powell (Jack White, Wanda Jackson, Kings of Leon), the LP is an exhilarating listen, a tidy mishmash of blustery boogie, down home designs and a well-heeled backwoods stomps…with a fun and frivolous outlook to boot. Oh, and it also rocks like hell.
