Algiers share video for "Irony. Utility. Pretext.," tour (2015)

Today, Rolling Stone included recent Matador signees Algiers as one of the 10 New Artists You Need To Know for March 2015. The write-up deems the band “the Death Grips of gospel, torching the South’s dark underbelly” and praises their “beastly, bent-metal beats” while likening them to TV On The Radio, Nick Cave and Kanye West.

Also, Stereogum profiled Algiers as a Band To Watch. The piece delves into the influence of the “Christ-haunted” American South on the band’s inimitable clamor.
