Adult Swim Singles have teamed with feminist hardcore-punk quintet War on Women to offer up the 28th installment of the current program. “The Ash Is Not the End” is the first single by the Baltimore-based band since their acclaimed 2018 sophomore album Capture the Flag, a twelve track collection of catchy and confrontational songs that paired driving riffs with lyrics dismantling rape culture, street harassment, the gender wage gap, transphobia, and other vitally pertinent social issues. The album was met with widespread acclaim and led to international tours with such luminaries as Converge, Propagandhi, Jawbreaker, and more.
