Wake Magnolia Shares Latest Single “Majcher”

Deriving from Akron, Ohio, the two-piece alternative rock outfit Wake Magnolia seizes your attention by producing ruminating energy.  Mixing fuzz and thick guitar tones and an ever booming presence vocally, Nick Galbincea and Adam Miller together create breathtaking dirty melodic rock.

Having recently released singles such as “Capture Arcane” and “Windmill” over the summer, Wake Magnolia have now released “Majcher.”  The single invokes the duo’s signature sound to soaring depths emotionally.  Galbincea says, “Majcher” was written several years ago for a dear friend as a gift for his 21st birthday. The song reflects the hardships one goes through when struggling with how the world sometimes perceives their uniqueness. Whether it is their sexual orientation, race, religion, politics, interests, or hobbies, sometimes one can feel like the outcast even in their own home with their own families. “Majcher” is a song of acceptance and self-love, it’s one with a message that states no matter how unique you are always love yourself. Usually that is the hardest thing of all for people to do. The message behind the song also entails that no one is ever alone and there are people out there that love you and will be there for you. “Majcher” was directly written for a friend who struggled with his sexual orientation and depression. I wanted the song to be written like a giant hug of sound, one that brought comfort, strength, and positivity to my friend. I want the song to be like that for anyone that listens to it really, an anthem for self-love.

Wake Magnolia released their first EP, Sleeping/Dreaming, in 2015 and their second EP, Smile Anyway, in June 2018. The band began working on their first studio album in 2019 at Superior Sound Studios in Cleveland, OH with producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, Brian Setzer, Jimmie’s Chicken Shack). The album is expected to be released in the fall of 2021.
