Treya Lam Shares Single “Magic”

There is a special sound the emerges from Treya Lam’s single “Magic”.  The singer/songwriter lulls is to a meditative state with smooth lap steel and lush arrangements.  As for vocally, Lam angelically presents the message of embracing childhood.  The world presents us with so much beauty that it would be criminal almost to waste it all away.  “Magic” was written in part as a gift for one of her closest friends, Megan Faye.  Faye herself played violin and ukulele on the single and Catherine Popper provided the stunning bass lines.
“Magic” will be featured on Treya’s debut album, Good News, will be released on June 8 via Kaki King’s label, Short Stuff Records. Produced by Kaki (who plays multiple instruments throughout the album), was recorded with array an of talented female musicians, notably Popper, mixer Erin Tonkon (David Bowie, Esperanza Spalding), and mastered by Sarah Register.
