New Jersey’s The Skullers released the Freight Trains & Party Games EP today. The EP, produced by Don DiLego at velvet Elk Studio in the Pocono Mountains, is a ever-so-slightly gritty power-pop classic in-the-making — imaging Matthew Sweet leaned a little more towards ’60s psychedelia than towards ’80s and ’90s alt-rock with a very modest dusting of The Walkmen and Jack White.
