The Protomen continue "This City Made Us" tour (2016)

The Protomen recently kicked off the “This City Made Us” Tour 2016. “This City Made Us” Tour 2016 sees the Nashville, Tennessee octet bring its conceptual spectacle to a handful of major North American markets, most of which it hasn’t visited in over a year. The eight uniform-clad Protomen deliver epic songs in the spirit of the ’70s prog and ’80s hair metal.

The Protomen’s storyline begins with 2005’s debut album, Act I: Hope Rides Alone, a post-apocalyptic tale of a dystopian world, followed by 2009’s Act II: The Father of Death, a prequel, produced by Alan Shacklock (Meatloaf, Roger Daltrey). Act III is currently still in the works, but 2015’s “This City Made Us” single hints at what is to come. “This City Made Us” Tour 2016 is rumored to be the band’s final tour before once again immersing themselves in the studio to complete the recording of Act III.
