The Heartless Bastards announce a co-headlining tour with the Old 97’s for a string of East Coast, Midwest and Canada dates throughout May w/ opener BJ Barham (of American Aquarium).
The ‘Bastards have built their reputation around an intoxicating live set led by frontwoman Erika Wennerstrom’s “powerhouse vocals that electrify a crowd.” (Pitchfork) Says Erika, “We’ve crossed paths with the Old 97’s for years now and it’s great to finally team up and do dates together!”
Restless Ones was recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso Texas under the direction of John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen). All Music calls it “an outstanding band hitting its stride,” and MAGNET praised its “collective confidence and ambitious vision.”
Last weekend, PBS aired the band’s fiery live performance for Austin City Limits, including lead single “Gates of Dawn” and the buzzy, upbeat “Into the Light.”
The band will also headline a tour (w/ SUSTO supporting) throughout February and early March. A full list of tour dates is below and here.
