Vocalist and producer Ulrik Denizou Lund is best known as one half of the Norweigan critically acclaimed electronic duo Lemaitre. Today, Lund launches a new solo project, with the announcement of his debut self-titled St Valentine EP — due out August 14 — alongside lead single “The End Is Bright”. Danceable beats with kinetic energy veil the song’s melancholic lyrics. The euphoric track encourages the listener to celebrate freedom at every opportunity and seek purpose in all aspects of life. “Even if you do not view death as something hurtful, and perhaps a kind of freedom, you should give life a try and try to hold on to the things that can make life meaningful”, says Lund.

Based in Los Angeles, Lunds’ new St Valentine project offers an outlet for the songs that could not fit into the Lemaitre universe. The resulting body of work paints an electronic landscape from a more intimate and lyrically oriented approach.
