Top Ten of 2017: Jesse Korman of The Number Twelve Looks Like You

The Number Twelve Looks Like You will celebrate the 12th anniversary of its 2007 full-length, Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear., by performing the album in its entirety across a 12-date U.S. tour, kicking off in Philly on Dec 12. Supporting The Number Twelve on the “12 Days of 12” tour are the UK’s Rolo Tomassi and new Good Fight Music signing Cryptodira.
Standouts of the ’00s hardcore scene, The Number Twelve pushed the genre forward with a progressive, metallic style that was rife with emotion.
After a long hiatus, the band reformed last year, playing a few key U.S. shows, touring Europe with The Dillinger Escape Plan, and even bringing its noise to Russia for the first time ever. The new lineup consists of founding members Jesse Korman (vocals) and Alexis Pareja (guitar), with new recruits DJ Scully (bass) and Michael Kadnar (drums), both of Black Table, among other bands.
Ghettoblaster recently caught up with Korman to run down his “best of” list for 2017 before the band hits the road. This is what he told us.
