Song Premiere: Scuba Cop, “Coast Blood”

As of late, San Diego, California’s Ely Morgan, who some might recognize from previous efforts with Die Princess Die, Manta Ray, and Goth Jock, is now focusing on his noise rock project, Scuba Cop, a project that will appeal to fans of heavy music frontrunners like Pissed Jeans, Metz, Nomeansno, Jesus Lizard and the like.

Scuba Cop (Cut Lips Recordings) was recorded by Ely Morgan and mastered by Pete Lyman (Grammy-winning mastering engineer who has worked with Chris Stapleton, Tanya Tucker, Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile, Sturgill Simpson, John Prine, Weezer, Panic! At the Disco, and more). Scuba Cop’s debut hits the streets digitally on November 13 and can be preordered here.

Today, Ghettoblaster has the pleasure of premiering the behemoth and battering cut “Coast Blood” from the effort. Morgan had this to say about it:

“‘Coast Blood’ is about people flocking to the beaches during the day once COVID restrictions were lifted, practicing no social distancing, crowding parking spots, risking infection vs. the surf.”
