Song Premiere: Matt Andersen Shares "Quarter On The Ground"

With a career spanning close to twenty years, Canadian soul-bluesman Matt Andersen continues to capture audiences with his music.  It’s hard to deny the Andersen’s signature sound: room-shaking vocals, sweat-soaked soul meets incendiary rhythm and blues, along with heartsick folk and Americana grit.  Let’s not forget the accolades and awards that have been bestowed upon the musician: including two European Blues Awards, seven Maple Blues Awards, an International Blues Challenge, a Canadian Independent Music Association nod and a JUNO Award nomination.

On March 22nd, Andersen will be releasing his tenth full-length album via True North Records, Halfway Home by Morning.  Recorded live in Nashville at the legendary Southern Ground studio, the New Brunswick-native and his rowdy band itched their own history within the building.  Halfway Home by Morning according to Andersen is a soul-rejuvenation for all that are feeling the stress of the current situation of the world.

Andersen has released a single off of Halfway Home by Morning today, “Quarter On The Ground”.  Don’t be shocked if you begin to tap your toe as the song moves along.

Andersen will support the release with a tour, beginning February 7, 2019, with dates in the US, UK and Europe, with more to be announced.
