Ladysse is a pop star. Those few words shouldn’t be taken lightly as the Detroit-by-way-of-Sacramento recording artist is quick to deliver a more-than-direct pop sensibility many artists take years to find. The nom-de-plume is used by one Stephanie Lauren, a talented multi-instrumentalist and today she premieres the song “Young Hearts.” The song itself is a hook-filled number which has Lauren taking a look at breaking up, loneliness, and a clear eye that sees all she requires at the moment are her friends.

Of “Young Hearts,” Lauren says, “When you listen to the song you can’t really tell how bummed I was on life.” Of course, she’s right, as those dark times she examines are juxtaposed against a flavorful backdrop that does all it can to make listeners feel good.
