Song Premiere | Black Swan Dive Bomb, “Prove To Me”

Detroit, Michigan-based quartet Black Swan Dive Bomb, comprised of Dakota Starr, Woody Locke, Fann Daigh, and Dan Carney,  is set to release their debut, Light The Match, Ignite The Flame, on October 26.

The four-song EP fully grasps the depth of rock-influenced punk and is jam-packed with dynamic changes and unbridled energy, like someone pressed the plunger on a bundle of dynamite and it exploded with piss and vinegar.
The delivery is passionate, the tracks electric, the drums rattle like machine gunfire, and the guitars howl over a bass tone drenched in fuzz. While the EP clocks in at just over ten minutes, it is enjoyable and thrilling to the very end.

The first track opens with a Johnny Thunders-like solo and lasts for its entirety. “God Hates America” is teeming with gassed-up riffs and nihilistic imagery. Black Swan Dive Bomb is a band determined to systematically destroy the norms while cooking something different — a stew of raw rock and punk that will make your head spin in the best possible way.

The band had this to say about the EP:

“We are the sound of the machine at full speed. We revel in the fight for something greater than the sum of its parts. We also like to dance.”

Today, Ghettoblaster has the pleasure of premiering “Prove To Me,” the EP’s final cut.
