In the run up to his debut LP Universal Vibrations (Jalepeno Records), ‘One More Time’ paired Sam Redmore with hotly tipped UK artist SANITY, whose vocals embody storytelling as an artform, encased within a distinctive blend of grime, hip-hop and jazz. Sam heard SANITY on an absolute belter of a collaboration with DJ Zinc, and from that moment knew she was the MC he needed to elevate ‘One More Time’ to a whole new level.
Once the original had been out and widely supported (including spins from BBC 6 Music’s Craig Charles, Chris Hawkins and Huey Morgan), Sam knew exactly who he wanted to remix this soundsystem anthem – the man known as Red Rack’em. The maverick producer, formidable DJ, respected broadcaster and mischief maker behind the cross genre ‘Wonky Bassline Disco Banger’, weighs in with a minimal but deadly DJ weapon. Expect to hear it rattling soundsystems with its killer sub bass until the year is out.
