Rexx Life Ray + G-Eazy Share Single “Bounce Back”

Rexx Life Raj, the Bay Area rapper and self-proclaimed “Berkeley superhero” signed to EMPIRE, shares his new song “Bounce Back,” a summertime hymn about getting up when life gets you down. Raj trades verses with G-Eazy and Jay Anthony drops in for the outro, driving home the hard-earned positivity repeated in the hook: “No one told me this would be a fairy tale but/Every time I bounce back.”

“‘Bounce Back’ came about from one of the sessions, about a year ago, where we were working on potential tracks for G’s album. Whenever G is working on an album he pulls up to the bay and has sessions and invites hella artists to pull up,” Raj says about the collaboration. “It’s clean because there’s so much different energy/vibes in the room. From P-Lo to Goapele to Mistah F.A.B. On this particular night I told ReeceBeats to pull up because we wanted to work on something that sounded big, epic, and Reece is amazing with the chords. What’s crazy is initially the record was for G featuring someone else. I wrote the hook as a reference for a bigger artist to sing. About a year went by and then I heard G’s team played it for ESPN and they loved it.. the rest is history.”

“Bounce Back” also has the new honor of being a part of ESPNmusic and the NBA on ESPN’s featured commercial soundtrack. The song will be featured prominently throughout all NBA programming on ESPN and ABC, along with flagship shows Sportscenter and First Take.
