Perturbator shares "Neo Tokyo," tours (2016)

Today the one-man Parisian powerhouse, Perturbator unveils the first single “Neo Tokyo” from his highly-awaited fourth album, The Uncanny Valley. Mastermind James “Perturbator” Kent stormed onto the retrosynth scene with his perfect rehash and improvement upon 1970s and 1980s analog synthesized film scores. His oeuvre expertly recounts and expands upon the work of John Carpenter (Halloween), Vangelis (Blade Runner) and Goblin (Suspiria) evoking nocturnal visions of neon-glyphed cyberpunk desperation.

His 2014 breakthrough album Dangerous Days, saw unprecedented success – pushing him from virtually unknown into ten repressings of the album, mass critical acclaim, TV and movie synchs and sold out gigs across Europe – in less than two years’ time.  In support of The Uncanny Valley, Perturbator tours Europe with labelmates Gost and Dan Terminus – stay tuned for North American dates.
The Uncanny Valley is out worldwide via Blood Music on May 6.  It will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally. A special edition release features 16 extra drawings, compiling a full graphic novel for the album; as well as an entire 7-track EP of bonus material – featuring three new tracks, two instrumental versions of tracks that originally contain vocals, one 8-bit version of a previously-released track, and an unreleased demo that didn’t make the final cut for The Uncanny Valley. You can now pre-order all formats.
