Palm Ghosts Cover Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, Tour

Nashville dream pop/new wave/post punk band Palm Ghosts have dropped their cover of Ned’s Atomic Dustbin classic “Grey Cell Green”.

The song, recorded and mixed by the band and mastered by Dan Coutant, is out on Bandcamp Friday to benefit the Be The Big Spoon charity.

“‘Grey Cell Green’ is an early alternative anthem that harkens back to MTVs 120 minutes era. Ned’s were an important band to us and we felt like they haven’t been covered enough,” Ben Douglas of Palm Ghosts says. “We decided to donate the proceeds to Be The Big Spoon to help people with a wide range of disabilities. They’ll receive stabilizing spoons to help them live more independently.”

Earlier this year Palm Ghosts released their latest, a six-song EP via Ice Queen Records. Cold Spells explores the darker end of the pop spectrum. The release included five new originals and one cover (“Stay” by Scottish legends Blue Nile).
