Following an entire summer spent rocking the nation on Vans Warped Tour ’16, Old Wounds hits the road again next week for a full U.S. tour supporting Beartooth and Every Time I Die.
Widely regarded as a standout of this summer’s Warped Tour, Old Wounds blends vicious New Jersey hardcore with goth ambience and progressive socio-political ideals. Musical reference points include late ’90s metallic hardcore greats like Turmoil and Buried Alive, and icons of darkness like Danzig and Type O Negative, while politically the band is closer in spirit to Fugazi. Often sporting ghostly makeup and a pompadour, frontman Kevin Iavaroni is a captivating presence and he leads his band ferociously.
Latest album The Suffering Spirit was released in 2015 on Good Fight Music to a storm of praise.
