O'Brother ready Endless Light, tour (2016)

Atlanta, GA’s O’Brother – Tanner Merritt (vox, guitar), Michael Martens (drums), Anton Dang (bass), Johnny Dang (guitar), and Jordan McGhin (guitar) – is set to release a new full-length LP Endless Light on March 25 via Triple Crown Records/Favorite Gentlemen. Endless Light was recorded in the band’s hometown with fellow Atlantans Andy Hull, Robert McDowell, (Manchester Orchestra, Bad Books) and Brad Fisher producing.
The new record continues in the band’s tradition of big, brash sounds. Just listen to “Bloodlines,” released late last year to fans and featuring the strong guitar riffs of Dang and McGhin coupled with the acrobatic vocal work of Merritt. Hull and Fisher, who also produced the band’s EP The Death of Day and debut album Garden Window, once again allows O’Brother to shine in both the delicate moments and the thickest walls of sound. Today, Noisey premieres “Deconstruct,” a song which Merritt declares “is more concise, traditionally structured, and quirky than the typical O’Brother song. So if I had to describe it, it would be apocalyptic, space-pop.”
O’Brother hit the road last week with Caspian and will be joined by Defeater for a run of February dates, their first of 2016 after a relatively quiet 2015. O’Brother will ramp up their touring schedule in anticipation and support of Endless Light heading into March, joining up with labelmates Foxing for a month of shows across the U.S. and will follow the record’s release with a handful of headlining dates throughout the Northeast.
Endless Light is the follow up to O’Brother’s critically acclaimed Disillusion, which was released in the summer of 2013. Disillusion brought the band to bigger stages, including their Lollapalooza debut and tours with Big Business, The Sword, Hot Water Music, Torche, Manchester Orchestra, and more.
