Maria Lynn Shares Single “Jaded”

Maria Lynn creates music that explores self discovery with lyrics that dive deep into her experience with relationships, mental health, belonging and purpose. With over 39 million streams to-date, she combines modern pop beats with singer-songwriter harmonies to create her own distinct indie pop sound that resonates with listeners. Today, Maria Lynn shares “Jaded,” her new single with NYC-based singer Armen Paul, whose work across indie pop, dance and hip hop has received notable acclaim and streams reaching well over 10 million. “Jaded” is available now via Repost, SoundCloud’s artist services division.

The new track from the New Jersey-raised musician takes listeners through a devastating heartbreak while working through the complexity of a toxic relationship with unapologetic bravery. Dark and dreamy with haunting guitars and pulsing synthesizers weave throughout the track, Maria captures the complexity of loving someone who destroys her. She illustrates a painful experience of intense emotions, and how it ultimately leaves her feeling nothing at all. While Maria is aware that this relationship is toxic, she cannot let go, creating a compelling duality of confidence in that awareness, yet desperation in holding on.

“Jaded” follows her previous single “Why Do I”, which was her first release with Repost. “This song is a sequel to the story of my previous single ‘Why Do I’,” notes Maria. “After riding the emotional rollercoaster of a toxic relationship, you’re left with an incurable emptiness in place of all the chaos. I hope this song provides comfort to those of my listeners who are experiencing this same feeling of emptiness, and that they know they are not alone in it.”

In addition to releasing new music, Maria Lynn has recently been performing throughout New York City as part of The Afterglow Concert Series, in partnership with Equity Residential and D’Angelico Guitars, and has two more performances in the series coming up: August 25 at 71 Broadway and September 15 at Murray Hill Tower. She will also headline the Chelsea Table & Stage on September 2 – tickets are available HERE
