Longshot Shares New Single "Grandma," Announces Album

For a few years now Longshot has made Minnesota his home but the Chicago transplant still remembers where he came from. He dropped his new single “Grandma,” that celebrates the relationship and life of one Shot’s greatest influences and inspirations. While the song is an ode to his 84-year-old grandmother, it serves a twofold purpose. Longshot has taken matters into his own hands asking to pay what you want for the Afrokeys produced track as he and his family try to save the house he grew up in. The song itself is classic Longshot, with subject matter circling completely around his “GiGi.”
Of the song Longshot says, “I was in the studio with Afrokeys awhile back and while he was making the beautiful sounds you hear in this track, I was having a hard time coming up with something to write about. We started talking about my Grandmother and how much she means to me and he suggested I write about her. It was so perfect of an idea and I just spoke from my heart and soul.”

This also comes with news of a new album dropping this June 2018. It was produced entirely by Lazerbeak and co-executive produced by P.O.S of Doomtree. This new one follows-up 2016’s Sacrifice.
