Although Jon Spencer has had his name emblazoned on multiple albums, he’s never released a solo effort. That is, until now. Spencer is set to releases his new album Spencer Sings The Hits!, dropping November 9, 2018, on In The Red Records. For the recording, Jon travelled to the wilds of Benton Harbor, MI, to work with Bill Skibbe at Key Club Recording Company and enlisted the help and talents of friends keyboard/bassist extraordinaire Sam Coomes (Quasi, Heatmeiser) and M. Sord (No Monster Club, M. Sord) to help bring the songs to life. Today he shares the new blues-infused track “I Got The Hits.” Still present is his indistinguishable cadence and vocal delivery as well as his sometimes scattershot guitars that spread out, hitting the mark like a shotgun.
