Blues Explosion. Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. JSBX. Whichever variation of the moniker with Jon Spencer at the helm became the epitome of what a dirty skronking NYC lower east side funk should sound like. With an extensive catalog behind him, Spencer is set to release his new solo debut, Spencer Sings The Hits later this fall, on In The Red Records. Aged but far from weathered, Spencer has been a source of inspiration for decades now, revitalizing a genre, creating a sub-category for it, with a balls-to-walls aesthetic bringing together a new form of garage punk for the people! He’s shared his new single “Do The Trash Can” in its video form. He hits the road in support of the album, with dates listed below.
