Jelani Aryeh Looks Inward In Single “Overexposed”

21 year old Filipino/African-American artist Jelani Aryeh is back with another incredible offering from his highly anticipated debut album due July 30th. I’ve Got Some Living To Do showcases Jelani’s abilities to effortlessly transcend genres from indie to pop to rock to alternative and more. Today Jelani is releasing “Overexposed,” a song in which he reflects on his changing lifestyle and experiences as an artist. Jelani tells us, “This song stemmed from a conversation about how social media never lets you feel like you can be alone with your own thoughts because you’re always being updated on things that you don’t need to know or care about.

In an era where albums are dominated by commercial hits and a whole lot of filler, Jelani has crafted a meaningful body of work that reimagines classic influences through a modern lens.  “This was made out of loneliness,” Jelani explains. “I just want to make people feel less alone. Like dude it’s ok, I’m here for ya.”

Previous tracks like “Stella Brown”, “Marigold” and “From These Heights” have already amassed Jelani 55 million streams and an army of fans around the world. Jelani was recently the first artist on the cover of Spotify’s new playlist, “Today’s Indie Rock” and is gearing up for a busy summer, already having dates into the fall. Just announced he will be performing later this year at the All Things Go Music Festival on October 16th @ the Merriweather Post Pavilion and headlining shows in Los Angeles on August 26th @ The Echo and in New York City on October 14th @ Baby’s All Right.
