Furiosa releases Look, Don't Listen

Los Angeles, California native and post modern rock artist, Furiosa, whose album Look, Don’t Listen hit the streets November 3 through indie label Toys.of.the.Masses with distribution by INgrooves Digital, is streaming the jaw-dropping effort at Spotify.
Furiosa is the musical brainchild of Jonah Nimoy, who recently completed a month-long stint as guitarist for The Offspring. According to Nimoy, he has always had a fascination with artistic expression through a spectrum of both traditional, and unorthodox styles. This album touches upon these fascinations, exploring social constructs, self-reflection, disconnection, and pure whacky, fuck-you fun! “Starman,” his David Bowie cover, was featured in the movie, ‘For the Love of Spock’ a documentary about Nimoy’s grandfather, who played a logical alien on ’60s American TV.
Nimoy had the good fortune to study under such heavy hitters as Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr and ELO) and Dave Elitch (Mars Volta and M83). This, ultimately, helped him gain an appreciation and understanding of what it takes to be a top-notch drummer and a working musician. Since that first solo effort in 2012, Nimoy kept grinding at the craft, progressing as a songwriter and a multi-instrumentalist. Three years later, in 2015, he felt he had something a bit more substantive and inspired to say. He started writing and playing out a new batch of songs from this new mature perspective.
Recording over a dozen of these songs in early 2017 with Los Angeles based producer and songwriter Kemble Walters (Aeges, Bob Marlette, Juliette & The Licks), ten of them made the final cut, and have become the album, Look, Don’t Listen. This newly recorded batch of songs caught the attention of musician, producer, and upstart indie visionary, David Hakopyan (The Apex Theory/ Antenna The End), who manages Nimoy.
