“Show Friends” b/w “Spot the Difference” and “What the Sun Saw,” Fucked Up’s self-released 7-inch of songs from the One Day sessions, is now shipping—order it from Fucked Up’s webstore now! Available digitally today is “Spot the Difference,” whose intricately layered guitars and harmonies are another example of how the seeming constraints of the 24 hours Fucked Up had to record One Day laid the groundwork for one of their most thrilling records to date.
“‘Spot the Difference’ is about incremental change and compromise,” says drummer Jonah Falco. “A catalog of the consequences of unchecked adaptation and the self-imposed histrionics of seeking approval.”
The songs on the “Show Friends” 7-inch are as varied and thrilling as their counterparts on One Day, from the delirious and speedy punk of “Show Friends” to the signature guitar tapestries and psychedelic grooves of “Spot the Difference” and “What the Sun Saw.” The three-song 7-inch is available in limited editions of black (528 copies) or sea blue (524 copies) vinyl from FU Records.
