In early April, Freedom Fry released their retro-infused music video for the single “Classic” (which you can watch here). The dynamic duo has now dropped another song that is off their upcoming debut album Classic, “Cold Blooded Heart”. “We’ve both been in past relationships with people who were downright mean,” Freedom Fry commented regarding the single. “This song explores our feelings on those moments from our past. The rollercoaster of emotions you feel. The urge to change them.”
“Cold Blooded Heart” shows more restraint within its tone, a heavy departure from the upbeat melodies and sun-drenched instrumentals featured on “Classic”. Marie Seyrat and Bruce Driscoll together heighten a level of emotion that heightens the seriousness of the lyrics. The rich, vintage aesthetic that Freedom Fry fans have come to expect with their music is still noticeable, which is always a welcoming treat.
Following a series of shows at SXSW and a gorgeous live session with KUTX, Freedom Fry will play a hometown show in celebration of record release on June 4th at School Night, located in Los Angeles. Additional dates will be announced in the upcoming future.
