Detroit’s Gator Pit Release Dead Man’s Hand EP

Detroit, Michigan’s Gator Pit are a wildly energetic band that combines elements of metalcore and deathcore with the spirit of punk rock and thrash metal. Fans of Every Time I Die, Demon Hunter, and The Bronx are sure to connect with their raucous racket.

The band released their Dead Man’s Hand EP, available on cassette and digital formats, on August 1 and will follow the release with a short run of Michigan dates with Versus Versus (see below).

“We are a very DIY kind of band and we get what we make of it,” vocalist Luk Baewer says. “From start to finish, we made everything you see and hear; we wrote the songs, we recorded them at I/O Detroit—a studio we helped create with the very talented Pat Sheufelt. The video was shot, edited, and directed by our drummer Nick Sheufelt. I make our merch. We’re just very proud to have created something at this level. We also can’t thank Pat from I/O Detroit enough for delivering such a huge sound for us.”

Live dates:
8/11 Kalamazoo, Michigan, at The Run Off
8/12 Ann Arbor, Michigan, at Metal Frat
8/13 Berkely, Michigan, at Gatekeepers Games
