Boundary-pushing R&B singer DAWN (aka Dawn Richard) released her critically acclaimed new album new breed earlier this year. Yesterday, she shared a new double-single ahead of a longer project.  The first in a series of forthcoming singles before launching a new project in Spring 2020, “Ay Papi”/”Slim Thicc” is out now. “Ay Papi” features rapper and frequent Charli XCX collaborator Brooke Candy, while “Slim Thicc” features Trakgirl, the fast-rising producer for Jhene Aiko and more.  “This series of singles marks the start of a new era,” DAWN explains. “new breed was the introduction to my roots. This era dives in each to each cultural influence specifically, highlighting all the pop influences I’ve experienced with cultural flare.”
