Cursive today shared a new single, “Barricades,” their first new music since their 2018 acclaimed album, Vitriola. Of the searing, resonant track — which features founding drummer Clint Schnase — singer/guitarist Tim Kasher explains, “Though ‘Barricades’ may conjure the southern wall our current administration has been salivating over, the song is more specifically about the walls we construct in our minds as a means to safely ignore the atrocities of society without having to feel so terribly guilty about them.” Listen to the song via a lyric video now HERE. “Barricades” will be available via all DSPs tomorrow, September 13th.

The Omaha band will also head out on their first run of a lengthy series of U.S. tour dates tomorrow, beginning with a stop in Des Moines, IA, ahead of Riot Fest this weekend. Cursive will also open for Against Me! on the east coast in October, in addition to their own headline shows in Philadelphia, PA, and Brooklyn, NY (sold out). In November, the band will go back out on the road with Cloud Nothings supporting for a headline tour throughout the southeast and southwest. A current itinerary is below.
