As the drummer for The Apples in Stereo for a decade and counting, John Dufilho is stepping forward as the guitarist and singer for his new band, Clifffs (formerly Cliffs of Insanity). On first listen, Elephant Six groupies might feel a little left out by the chugging pop rock on their debut, Bill, You’re Only Human but if they stick around long enough there’s plenty to like. Primarily the melodies. Great ones. And lots of ’em too.
