Chiiild Shares Latest Single "Darling"

If you have been keeping track, we here at Ghettoblaster have fully become rabid followers of Montreal-based Chiiild.  Right from the string instrumentals that began “Count Me Out”, we have been obsessed.  Chiiild manages to create a lush sound that is retro-future chilled R&B meeting with psychedelic overtones. Chiiild already have a long list of impressive collaborations, spanning from working on a Grammy award-winning Jack Ü album with Skrillex and Diplo to Usher, Jacob Banks, Allie X and more.

Chiiild has shared another track off their forthcoming EP, the irresistible groove of “Darling.” The single was the closer on their recent tour alongside labelmates Emotional Oranges. With a chorus repeating “you are the best of me, darling,” they won over the crowd night after night. Of the song, Chiild says, “If you’ve ever been in love …” “Darling,” along with previously released “Back to Life” ft. Zimbabwean artist, songwriter, poet and activist Shungudzo and “Count Me Out,” is found on the Montreal band’s forthcoming Synthetic Soul EP, out in early 2020 via indie tastemaker collective Avant Garden (THEY., Emotional Oranges, Slenderbodies).
