Blueprint shares "Masterpiece," tours (2018)

Columbus, Ohio rap-artisan Blueprint has returned with a new single. “Masterpiece” (which is self-produced) is a meditative piece flush with a gospel swell of samples and minimal drums. Serving as a lyrical Thornton Wilder, ‘Prin’ narrates another tale of those who fall between the cracks of the spotlight. Speaking on the track he said “It’s the story of an artist who spends her whole life shunning personal relationships to focus on her creative side only to find out that building a family is just as challenging and rewarding as the masterpiece she’s been trying to create her entire life.”

“Masterpiece” is taken from Blueprint’s fifth studio album, Two-Headed Monster which will drop via his own Weightless Records imprint on May 22nd. Entirely self-produced the work is a strong dose of soulful boom-bap paired with the introspective, unfiltered and matchless observations that his fans know him for.
Rounding out the tracks (which deal with such non-typical fare as personal health, getting trapped in nostalgia and the compulsion to write lyrics is guest appearances from such notable friends as Slug (Atmosphere), Aceyalone (Freestyle Fellowship), Mr. Lif, Wordsworth, Supastition and Has-Lo.
In support of the album release, ‘Print’ will be on the road all summer with over fifty live dates in North America covering both coasts (confirmed dates appear below).
In other recent news, Blueprint’s first film King No Crown a documentary about his career and the creation of his 2015 album (also titled King No Crown) is also available via DVD, VHS, and digital formats.
