The exploratory producer, singer, songwriter, engineer and artist Jackson Stell who records and performs under the name Big Wild has returned. He has shared his second single of 2025, the propulsive anthem “Love Any Longer,” a song that commands you “get up, listen with your heart now.” To Stell, the song captures the essence of why reconnecting with your inner child can be such a deeply rewarding experience. He says, “it’s all about soul work. Embracing your quirks, your faults, your ‘weaknesses’, and your weirdness. Oftentimes, these qualities are strengths in disguise and make you unique. Suppressing or ignoring them in order to conform to others’ expectations is a recipe for unhappiness.”
After feeling weighed down by the seriousness of his career, Stell set out to reconnect with the unfiltered curiosity and joy of his inner child and the two singles represent an exciting new chapter for Big Wild, as he continues to evolve his sound and explore new creative horizons. Moving away from his electronic roots, Stell now embraces indie-pop, psychedelic rock, and colorful ‘60s-inspired textures, layering live instrumentation over playful, unpredictable arrangements.
