Wild Decade are a melodic post-punk band based in New York City and San Francisco, led by songwriters Phil Maves and Dan Leech. Their full-length debut LP, Conductor, dropped in 2013, offering assertive melodies, weirdly catchy riffs, and a distinct lyrical perspective. Combining the unsettled inertia of Pixies and No Age with the rich chorus harmonies of Bon Iver and R.E.M. , Conductor was the definitive statement of the first phase of Wild Decade.
Recently, Wild Decade have been super busy cranking out recordings and videos, and they’ve also decided to release a collection of previously unreleased songs, live tracks and other exclusives. This will be a digital release, for free download on Soundcloud and streaming on Spotify. In the meantime, they’re gearing up to play shows; the next one is Dec 10 at Hemlock in San Francisco, followed by several more SF Bay Area and New York City shows in early 2015.
Today, Ghettoblaster has the opportunity to premiere the collection. Enjoy!
