Album Premiere: Blood Wine Or Honey Shares 'Fear & Celebration'

Hong Kong’s Blood Wine Or Honey are multi-instrumentalists/vocalists James Banbury (synths, bass, cello, etc), Shane Aspegren (drums, synths, electronics, etc) and Joseph von Hess (saxophone, wind instruments, percussion, etc). Their mix of dance floor rhythms coupled with a post/punk aesthetic, tossing in an array of musical elements no one would ever think to piece together is something of an anomaly.
And surprisingly, the group hails from a city virtually unassuming in its musical aesthetic, giving the group an added advantage. “Being in Hong Kong has helped us to realize that the world doesn’t revolve around the music scene in any particular place. It doesn’t matter where you are or where you’re from, “says the band. It’s readily apparent in the music that their sound is unrestricted to any one nation, identity or genre.
Fear & Celebration drops this Friday, June 8th and you have to wonder if the world is ready for it.
