I remember playing a show with these guys back in 2005. It was one of the most bizarre and amazing things I’d experienced being in the band I was in at the time. Their whole approach always seemed to be one big party, a celebration of music and of life. Part of it was the high energy of the music itself, and part of it was how the crowd interacted with the music. On this new album of theirs, they bring all of that and more (which makes the title of the record that much more appropriate). Fusing so many different styles into their own brand of punk, to call this eclectic would almost be an insult. Obviously, there’s no crowd to hear, but listening to this, you can imagine them having a great time (especially on songs like the opener, “I Am Sick of People Being Sick of My Shit” and “Lean Times for Heroes”). As long ago as their performance that I got to be a part of was, hearing this brought back some good memories all the same. (Chunksaah)
