Las Vegas indie rock outfit Alaska combines the off-kilter and strange rhythms of Radiohead with the emotional intensity of bands such as Pianos Become The Teeth, Native and La Dispute.
The band is able to meld these components together with a sort of psychedelic wash, “When people listen, we want them to have a spiritual experience.” says frontman Joel Kirschenbaum, “We want it to be like taking acid in a cave, you’re only hearing yourself echoed back, but on the inside it feels like some great thing is howling at you.”
